Larry earned his BSBA from the University of Louisville, and began his career with the international CPA firm of Deloitte & Touché. With over 18 years of financial and operational business acumen, Larry has experienced the fast pace of internet start-up entities, mid market media companies and large corporations with international public reporting. Larry has multiple years of capital venture, M&A experience in starting, managing, buying and selling companies, including successfully participating in building and selling a Nationwide Internet Service Provider to a large public telecom company.

Larry currently serves as a Board Member and Financial Advisor for The Source for Women, a Christian based Houston non-profit and is a member of Meeting Professionals International and The Greater Houston Partnership.

Ralph W. Parrott , Jr.

Ralph brings over 16 years of construction management, mechanical systems design, and business development experience to APS. His most recent leadership experience includes serving as the North & South America Director of Business Development for TDW offshore services, and Director of Sales and marketing for various other oil and gas related products and services companies in the Houston market.

Ralph currently serves as a member of the Greater Houston Partnership Green Building Committee, and the USGBC Technical Committee.

Ralph holds a B.S. degree from Purdue University in Construction Engineering and Management.

Martin Banister

Martin holds a BS from Tucson College in England where he began his career in business. Additionally, Martin holds a Builders License from the Michigan Department of Econimic Growth, OSHA Certification and currently pursuing a LEEDS 2.2 Certification. Martin has
served in the capacity as Director of Operations for Delaware Station of Ohio where he co planned and built a Class “A” office park according to Energy Star Efficiency, in addition, Martin has served as the President of K2 Conservatories where he directed a leadership team in the design and implementation of a nationwide market expansion. Martin has started, built a residential Conservatory manufacturing company focused on the residential/commercial market. As the Owner and President, Martin has developed business plans, developed strategic sales tools and grown a start-up business into a successful entities.

Martin is also a member of the Business Volunteers for the Houston Arts Alliance.

Edd Tveit
Board Member

Edd brings over 22 years of knowledge within the oil and gas exploration and oil refining industry. His leadership experience includes founding numerous oil and gas services businesses, business development, project engineering and project management for the pipeline industry, as well as oil and gas facility construction management.

Edd currently serves as CEO of Naren AS, and most recently served as VP of Business Acquisition for Plugging Specialists International. Prior to PSI, Edd was part owner, chairman and managing director of Industrikonsult AS.

Edd holds a degree in Mechanical Engineer, BSc, from Stavanger Ingeniorhogskole.

Rush Selden

Rush has served as Co-Founder, General Counsel, Contract Manager & Director of Administration for IsoTech International AS. In addition, Rush also served as General Counsel, VP-Administration, and VP of Finance & Accounting for Hydro Tech Systems, Inc. His prior legal experience includes Mergers, Sales & Acquisitions of Commercial Real Estate for Hughes & Luce , and Hughs Watters & Askanase.

Rush was also Co-Founder of, and a Director for Plugging Specialists America LLC and Plugging Specialists International AS (PSI). He has served as President of PSI U.S. and Business Manager of PSI AS. Rush holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Rice University and earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from The University of Texas School of Law.

Patrick McLeod

Pat is a veteran of the Solar Photovoltaic Industry. Pat comes to Alternative Power Solutions after founding Nor-Cal Solar Power of Sacramento, CA and Ark-La-Tex Solar Power of New Boston, TX. Pat also served as the Installation Manager, PV Solar Power Generation System Designer, and PV System trouble shooter for SunLit Systems, Inc. in Pleasanton California. Pat is also PV NABCEP certified.
Previous to the solar industry Pat served in the U.S. NAVY as an Interior Communications Electrician for 10 yrs, then spent a further 20 yrs in the two-way radio communications system construction and maintenance for Radio Communications of Charleston in Charleston, S.C.

Christian Lofton

Christian is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer. He comes to Alternative Power Solutions after gaining valuable work experience with Bauer Power of Wayland, Michigan. Christian also serves as the Manager of Solar Hot Water Project Installation and Design.

Previous to the Renewable Energy industry Christian served as a United States Peace Corps Volunteer for Community Development, Health, and Water Sanitation in Jamaica. Among his community outreach projects, he utilized the sun to dehydrate fruits and demonstrated the effectiveness of biodiesel for the National 4H program.

Christian holds a Bachelors Degree in Business from Oklahoma State University, he has passed the NABCEP entry level exam and is scheduled to sit for the final PV and Solar Thermal NABCEP Certification exam. Christian is an AET Certified Solar Hot Water Installer, and has designed and/or installed over 50 solar water heating systems.

Melanie Linton

Melanie has personally designed over 750KW of commercial & residential solar PV including Texas’s largest solar system in Dallas. She has also designed several solar systems for the City of Houston. Melanie brings years of valuable work experience in the Solar Industry from her time with a local competitor of APS. Melanie is an expert in AutoCAD and Google SketchUp, presenting APS’s customers with accurate shading analysis renderings of real time shading issues.

Melanie holds several solar certifications and is preparing herself for the NABCEP PV and Solar Thermal Certification exams. Melanie also holds an Associate’s Degree in Computer Installation and Repair Technology/Technician from Microcomputer Technology Institute. She is a Certified Level III AutoCAD Operator. Melanie served in the U.S. Army as a Radio Communications Specialist for 8 years, and worked for Motorola for 5 years as a Project Manager.

Jeff Redwine

Jeff holds a B.B.A in Marketing from the University of Texas, Arlington and has over 10 years of business ownership and marketing management experience in the construction and sporting industries. Jeff’s involvement in solar energy began during his service as a Community Economic Development Volunteer in Peace Corps, working with international and national agencies to implement off-grid solar projects in villages of Panama.

Jeff’s unique mixture of business management, marketing, and general construction knowledge have proven crucial to his ability to ensure the integrity and feasibility of solar energy in both residential and commercial projects throughout Texas and Louisiana. Jeff has completed his first round of certifications from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) and is prepared to sit for his final exam in March 2010.
